A mythical Amazon queen, who was said to have visited Alexander the Great. She supposedly remained with him for thirteen nights in the hope of conceiving a daughter who would be the ultimate warrior. Here I have shown the warlike queen in the thick of battle, hard-pressed but undefeated. This picture was created as a 'Character of the Week' contest entry over at conceptart.org. It features an inventive combination of ancient Greek and Scythian/Sarmatian details on the arms and armour.
