Oils, Oct 2007

This started off as a painting of an elf. I decided on a hint of gothicry and hardly a trace of elvishness in the end, and did a background vaguely reminiscent of Bocklin's 'Isle of the Dead'. It crossed my mind to have as a title 'I love the dead' but I thought better of it.
